An average class size is 15, and the student-teacher ratio is 7:1. In addition to a strong curriculum, Heritage provides an extracurricular program which is diversified to meet a variety of talents and interests:

The Heritage School was founded in 1970 to provide a college preparatory, independent school to families on the southside of Atlanta. Fully accredited by the Souther Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), virtually all of the school's graduates go on to higher education. A nonprofit, non-denominational private institution, Heritage is a member of the Georgia, Southern, and National Asssociations of Independent Schools (GISA, SAIS, NAIS).

Occupying a 60-acre campus, the Heritage School enrolls 350 students in prekindergarten through grade 12.
  • Preschool - Grades PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten
  • Lower School - Primary through 4th grade
  • Middle School - 5th grade through 8th grade
  • Upper School - 9th grade through 12th grade
